I write to you from up a mountain in southern Spain, sweating like a turkey at Christmas. I’m at the mother in law’s and while a Bernard Manning box set wouldn’t be entirely unwelcome, I seem to be unwinding from my grey summer in the rainy city back home.

A place to play

I was late finishing my column this month, as my head was stuck in preparing a talk/workshop down on Market Street at Noise Lab, the temporary Arts space in an empty shoe shop next to Boots.  There have been temporary arts spaces before in Manchester but the location for this one really is excellent.
